Greetings, thank you for taking the time to check out our website and learn more about the Juvenile Relief Center’s vision and mission. My name is Carmella Doby and I am the founder of Juvenile Relief Center. Since I was a child growing up in an under served community, in a dysfunctional, loving family, I was taught my chances of success and survival were small. That people like us ended up in jail, on drugs, or dead. I knew I wanted a better chance at life but didn't have the knowledge, skills or network to achieve it. Once I entered the Minnesota Juvenile system I began to learn ways to manage my anger, cope with uncontrollable situations, and build the life I dreamed of. Today thousands of youth in Minnesota are facing this same bleak reality of their future trajectory. Many youth are turning to crime and truancy to alleviate the burden of poverty and instability. This is why I want to open the doors of the Juvenile Relief Center, to serve youth in MN at risk of incarceration, addiction, and death. To give them the environment, tools, knowledge, and network, that'll build a strong pipeline to success. This will make the GOOD LIFE inevitable for all youth who enter The Juvenile Relief Center. In the process of redirecting life courses, we aim to increase minority graduation rates and decrease community crime.
